In this busy world, women have hectic schedules and juggling work, family, men and the girls can be hard. One has to be careful not to fall into a ‘lets go for coffee’ rut. Although coffee and after-work drinks can be fun and a great time for a bit of gossip it is important to do different activities with the girls too. Here are some ideas for ‘dates’ that you can have with your best girlfriends.
Do a fun lesson together
If you love dancing the night away but are a bit over those sweaty clubs then try taking a fun lesson together. You could go for a belly-dancing class or even a pole-dancing lesson if you’re feeling up to it. If dancing is not your thing then take some DJ lessons – you could do a weekly course or just sign up for a once-off lesson.
If clubbing isn’t your thing then do a make-up or hairstyling course together, this can be a fun bonding experience because you use each other as models. You could also learn a language together, say French, and in time plan a girls’ holiday to France.
Eat and drink
We all love to eat and drink and that is why ‘coffee’ and ‘lunch’ are popular dates. Try something different; go for high tea or a picnic in a local garden. You could go wine tasting and learn about different wines while enjoying a fun day out.
Something different
If you are really in the mood for something different then try paintball. Playing paintball with your girlfriends will be much more enjoyable than playing with the boys because you understand each other and it will also be a great workout.
