At times it really gets difficult to resist mouth watering fast food. It is probably the tonnes of grease and that appropriate amount of salt that just make it so yummy. Sometimes in the hour of need, you have no other choice than to go ahead with a burger and fries. But then again these foods clog up the kidneys, arteries and have a host of other negative impacts. It has long been common knowledge that drinking and smoking while nursing or pregnant harms the baby’s health and can result in birth defects. However, new research shows that other, less obviously harmful activities, can also have adverse effects on the unborn baby; such as eating unhealthy food. According to the results found based upon studies on animals, eating unhealthy fast food and junk food can cause substantial and lengthy harm to the unborn foetus. (more…)
