One of London’s most luxurious shopping streets will see new levels of decadence as the new flagship store – or ‘Maison’ – opens its doors to show off vintage Vuitton alongside the newest collections. With the imminent release of the second Sex and the City film, the excitement is not only centred on the return of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda but also the fashion that comes with them. The foursome of Sex and the City has been credited with resurrecting fashion for forty-somethings not only in the TV show and films but in real life as well. The film premiere on Monday evening demonstrated just how fashion-forward and glamorous the women who have made the characters Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Dixon) are. The little black dress is an iconic fashion statement that no woman should be without. We all know that there are a few staples in the wardrobe that everyone woman should have; a good pair of jeans, a good pair of shoes, a trench coat and the all encompassing LBD (little black dress). Coco Chanel first introduced the world to the now infamous LBD in the 1920’s.
