Having the raise discussion with your boss

The salary discussion can be an awkward one to face and asking for more money puts both parties involved in a difficult situation. If your boss hasn’t brought up the subject of a raise for some time it may be time you did but make sure you go in prepared. Nerves, embarrassment and lack of preparation will result in a muddled conversation and you probably won’t land up expressing what you want and thus won’t receive it. (more…)
