Tips on helping your colicky baby

The worst thing that any new parent can experience is to hear their newborn scream and cry in pain. This is made even worse if you don’t know what to do when this happens. Only a small percentage of babies suffer from frequent attacks of colic but the result is usually endless nights of no sleep and a moody baby. Most parents quickly learn to decipher whether their baby’s cry is due to hunger or pain. A colicky baby will scream, draw their knees towards their chest and clench their fists. Vegan baby breastfed to death

After the death of their 11-month-old daughter two French vegans are on trial facing charges of ‘neglect or food deprivation’. Their daughter was found to be suffering from serious vitamin deficiencies which have been attributed to parents Joel Sergine and Joel Le Moaligou refusing to eat or feed their child any animal products. The couple became strict vegans after watching a TV show depicting animals being led to slaughter at an abbatoir. Unfortunately, this decision led to the death of their child. (more…)

Understanding teething

The teething process can be an excruciating one for both the baby (physically) and the parents (mentally). If your baby is crying all the time, drooling a lot, biting her/his toys and has difficulty sleeping then his/she is probably undergoing teething. The teething process happens at a different age in all babies but most children have all their baby teeth in place before the age of three. During this time you need to understand what your child is going through and whether your baby’s symptoms are normal. (more…)

Beware your Child needs to be protected and Safety Measures are a Must
One of the most common causes of infant death is accident. What is very bad about this statement is that in many cases the accident could have been averted if a better safety measure were in place.
