Halloween is a good time to gorge on some finger-looking food. October brings with it the smells of pumpkin pie, apple cider, caramel apples and roasting pumpkin seeds. These savoury treats refresh pleasant childhood memories and get us in the mood to cook up some of these tasty treats ourselves. Halloween party food includes Eyeball Donuts, which involves melting some chocolate chips and placing it inside the donut holes and decorating it with red decorating gel and a coloured M&M in the middle of it to make the ‘eye’. Candy Spiderwebs and Hot Dog Roll Gravestones are also yummy treats for a Halloween party for adults. Skewered Antipasto Pumpkin is also a good bet, which involves skewering various items like olives, marinated peppers, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella cheese balls, sliced chunks of salami etc and sticking the skewers all around a large pumpkin. Another recipe, which works well for adults as well as children, is Witch Hat Cookies. Get fudge stripe cookies (with the hole in the middle) and Hershey’s kisses. Using chocolate icing, stick the Hershey’s kiss in the middle of the fudge striped cookies and create the most adorable witch hats.
Some Other innovative and delicious recipe ideas for Halloween are Coffin Cake, Halloween Punch, Frozen Hand Effect, Skull Jello Mold, Jack O’ Lantern Jello Mold, Candy Eyeballs, Chocolate Coated Marshmallow Ghosts and Roasted Pumpkin Seeds. Old-fashioned pumpkin pie is a must-have on any Halloween party’s food list and some other ghostly food ideas are Vampire Blood Pudding and Spooky Pancakes. However, to be able to prepare all this yummy food at home, you need a host of efficient and reliable kitchen appliances like microwaves, mixers, blenders and food processors. Food Processors from Magimix, Krups, KitchenAid, Breville and Tefal are well-known while Mixers and Blenders came come from Philips, Kenwood, Bugatti, Bosch and Braun. For Breadmakers, Panasonic, DeLonghi, Electrolux, Morphy Richards and Elta are good while Deep Fryers from DeLonghi, Ainsley, Harriott, Tefal, Breville and Moulinex are reliable.
