A delicious stir-fry is always an awesome meal that pretty much everyone enjoys. It’s also quick and easy and can be made in half an hour (or less, if you buy your ingredients ready chopped). Stir-fries have the nutritional value of a well rounded, healthy meal all packed into one dish. Stir-fries are also incredibly versatile and can taste different every time you make them, depending on what ingredients and spices you decide to use.

The right ingredients

Start by choosing the meat that you would like to add to your stir fry. Tender steak is always great in this dish but chicken can be good, too. Dice your meat into small bite-sized chunks and then toss them into the wok or pan with just a small amount of oil. You can now add any spice you would like to give your meat a good flavour, not forgetting a liberal splash of soya sauce.

How to cook it

Once your meat has browned and is cooked nicely, you can add your vegetables. Lots of diced cabbage, beans, carrots and spinach always goes down well. It is possible to buy stir fry vegetables packs in most grocery stores which makes the process a lot simpler. Just pour it into the pan with the meat and add a little water. Adding some nuts and raisins can make your dish a little more interesting. Peanuts or cashews are good for stir fry. Now all you need do is let the pan simmer for a while, not forgetting to stir the ingredients every now and then so that it doesn’t burn. You can cook the vegetables until they’re nice and soft or you can let it simmer just until they are slightly cooked and still quite firm. It all depends on how you would like the texture.

Rice or noodles

Now you can cook up some rice or egg noodles and add it to the concoction if you like or leave the two separate and serve them individually, it’s up to you. Stir fry always goes far and is sure to satisfy the hungry. Serve hot and enjoy.
