Don’t Neglect Your Microwave
It is almost impossible to imagine our kitchen without a microwave. Whether we have to prepare a lip-smacking dessert, a yummy cake or grill our favourite chicken snacks, we cannot do without a microwave. No doubt, we greatly depend on this appliance but we generally tend to ignore regularly cleaning it. Even advanced microwaves like the Neff MW 5474, cannot clean themselves. So if you have been ignoring this task for a long time, you need to know that you are actually inviting germs. So if you are concerned about food safety, consider cleaning you microwave on every weekend by using some common methods.
Lemon and vinegar are among the most preferred and safe materials used for removing stains and gunk from the microwave. If you prefer using vinegar, follow this easy and practical method:
• Put one teaspoon of white vinegar in a microwave safe bowl and fill it with water. Now, turn on the appliance for 5 minutes to vaporize its walls.
• Use a soft towel to clean up the gunk that has been loosened by the steam.
• Don’t use a chemical cleaner as a supplement.
• Lastly, take out the tray/turntable and place it in a dishwasher or wash it just as you wash other dishes.
The alternative method is to take a half cut lemon and put one half each (cut-side down) on a plate and add a teaspoon of water. Then put on the microwave for two minutes. The steam will again do the same job of loosening the accumulated slime, which can be easily removed with a paper or towel.
Did you find it difficult? Certainly not! So follow these trouble-free methods to maintain the hygiene of your microwave.
