The Ki Fit is our favourite fitness gadget right now. Why? Because it’s the only one you’ll need. It’s a nifty device that monitors your activity, day and night. Then it works our how active you’ve been, how many calories you’ve burnt, and how many hours you’ve spent sleeping. Plus, you won’t need to worry about having a heart rate monitor and pedometer anymore, because the Ki Fit does it all.

How it works

After giving the Ki Fit some personal data like age, sex, weight and height, you strap it to your arm and let the sensors do the rest. The device will calculate exactly how many calories you need to eat to gain, maintain, or lose weight. Then it will carefully calculate your activity and calorie intake over an entire day. This data is updated on to the Online Activity Manager when you plug the Ki Fit into your Mac or PC, and you can view it in the form of charts you can print from PDF files.

Just a weight loss tool?

This device is a great tool for those looking to lose weight, but it’s also very useful for the fitness fanatic. It’ll work out how many calories you burn when you work out, and how this affects your calorie consumption for the rest of the day, which is very interesting even if you aren’t a dieter. As it also monitors heart rate and features a pedometer, it’ll help you keep achieve your fitness goals.

Easy to use

You don’t need to be a technology whizz to use the Ki Fit. All you need to do is sign up to the online service, and download a programme so the activity manager can run on your computer. The only potentially fiddly bit is that to check the calories you´re taking in, you need to list everything you eat on a given day in the food diary.
