We all want to get our bodies in shape for the oncoming summer season, but going to the gym and running on that same treadmill over and over again can get boring. Luckily there are fun, alternative options out there, and if you’re tired of the same old fitness regime, why not try something a little more exciting, like pole dancing fitness?
It’s not just for professionals
Pole dancing fitness is a growing trend in the UK and it’s not just for professional dancers. Everyone is getting into it, from moms and housewives to teenagers and students; everyone is reaping the rewards of pole dancing fitness.
Benefits

The benefits of pole dancing fitness classes are endless; they offer better cardio than you would get from a regular workout at the gym (that includes those gruelling body conditioning classes), and tones your upper arms, thighs and abs at the same time. Not only that, but you get to have a full work out in heels, so you can perfect that sexy stiletto strut.
Pole dancing also builds your core strength, which leads to better posture, and develops cardiovascular stamina and coordination, along with boosting your confidence and burning calories. You become more flexible and learn great new dance moves too.
The moves
Pole dancing fitness teaches you a ton of fun and interesting moves, you will use muscles in your body that you didn’t even know you had! You learn the difficult task of climbing the pole, twirling, swinging and spinning which are all a lot more fun than your average jog around the block.
Before you embark on any of these tricky moves, make sure you warm up by stretching all your muscles first to prevent any injuries while you’re swinging around on that pole
What to wear

Heels are an essential part of your pole dance fitness workout. You should also try to wear shorts because you need your legs to grip the pole and make sure you don’t fall while practising those spins and twirls, and try to wear clothing that won’t restrict your movements – you will be dancing after all!
Don’t forget to drink plenty of water and keep yourself hydrated. It is a fun workout, but you’re still exercising and need to make sure your body is hydrated.
Pole dancing fitness is a guaranteed way to get your body in shape for summer, and have a lot of fun at the same time.
