Loving your children comes naturally but loving your post-pregnancy body is a long and hard process. The stretch marks, the excess skin and the extra weight all take time to get rid of (that’s if they ever go away). You may think that you are alone in this newfound body hatred but you definitely are not – most women have things they hate about their body and women find even more flaws after having children.
What your husband thinks
There is no denying it. Your partner has definitely noticed the change in your body from your breasts, to your stomach and even your nether regions. Although you may not have the same body you used to before pregnancy there are new things to love – like buying a bigger bra. But if your partner really loves you they’ll appreciate the miraculous thing your body has done and appreciate it even more.
Get in touch with your womanhood
Now that you are a mother, appreciate being a woman too. Where you may not have had curves you now do and you should learn to appreciate them. Appreciate what your body gave you in the form of your new child and love it for that.
Look after yourself
If excess weight is an issue make sure you make time to get yourself down to the gym and don’t forget to eat healthily. Always being in a rush, you may want to make meals every evening to avoid eating unhealthy take-always and snacks during the day. Don’t make excuses and remember it will take a while before you start seeing dramatic improvements. Also remember to dress and do your hair and make-up every morning so you are not still stuck in your pyjamas when those inevitable visitors show up.
