If there is any equipment that requires to be installed with care then it must be the washing machine. A washing machine if not installed properly will lead to problems and repairs. It is essential that you seek the services of a professional to get your washing machine installed. However, if you are the Do It Yourself type and are great with tools then you can do it all by yourself by just following the installation instructions provided in the manual.
The pipes you require for installation include both hot and cold-water bibb valves, and a drain hose standpipe. Of course if you lack a bibb valve at home, then you need to contact your plumber or install your own using something like the Makita 6827 screwdriver. The standard hose bibb needs to be threaded into the brass female winged fitting of the hot and cold water supply lines. The washer is connected to the water pipe through a rubber hose. The drain standpipe is installed along with a trap just above the floor.
Follow all the instructions provided in the installation manual and hook up the water inlets and outlets with proper care. Ensure that your washing machine lies on level floor or have the legs adjusted. If not leveled properly, the machine will wobble while spinning. A lot of noise will result due to this and the washing machine also moves around.
Installing a washing machine is not a very difficult job if you follow all the instructions mentioned in the installation manual with absolute care. If you have any doubts during the installation process then it is ideal that you call up a professional so he can handle the job well.
