A very common feature I have observed in almost all houses is that whenever we walk past the window and by mistake brush against the curtains, we will definitely and immediately be coated with millions of dust particles. You will always find dust bunnies hiding in places that we cannot even think about. It is an undeniable fact that curtains and drapes always help in adding character to your windows. They should be always cleaned regularly as they are worth saving.
Curtains always look fabulous and are very versatile in nature. Moreover, they help in bringing vibrancy and colour to an otherwise dull and dingy room, and they can be used as valance over the kitchen window. Dirty or discoloured curtains can totally ruin the entire image of your décor. Always invest money in buying those curtains which are easy to wash or clean.
You can always wash the unlined curtain as per the wash care instructions, while the lined curtains have to be dry-cleaned in order to preserve their shape and quality. Even the largest personal washing machine, like the Whirlpool AWO/D AS148, will likely be unable to accommodate very large curtains. Therefore, large curtains should always be washed either in the bathtub or should be taken to the laundry mat, so that they have enough space to wash in and damage can be avoided.
To maintain the freshness of the curtains you should tumble dry them in the dryers with some fabric softener sheets. Boil the rusty rings in a solution of water and vinegar in order to restore their shine. The dust and dirt built up on the curtain rods can be removed and given a polished look by just washing it with soap. One should regularly vacuum the curtains using the soft brush attachment in order to avoid any kind of dust to build up.
