Tackling some Tough Stains
Nothing can be more frustrating than having some stain marks on your favourite shirt or your kid’s clothes or for that matter your husband’s shirt. Stains come from a variety of sources like grease, ink, rust and deodorants etc., in many different shapes and sizes. It is very important to deal with the stain immediately in order for the clothing to look as good as new.
A rust stain can be easily removed from clothes by just rubbing a piece of tomato on the affected area and then giving it a usual wash. This method will completely remove the stain. For certain tough stains repeat the process to see the best results. It gets really frustrating or irritating to find a pen mark on your favourite shirt. There is absolutely no need to fret, just spray any hair spray on the pen stain mark and soak the shirt in the water for some time. Finally give it a regular wash. For some old and stubborn stains, you have to repeat the entire process to get the required results.
The deodorants or antiperspirants mixed with sweat leave annoying stains on your clothes. All the detergents are not capable of dealing with these tough stains, even if using an advanced washing machine like the Zanussi 16581. For lighter stains, rub the affected area with a solution of vinegar and water, then sponge the affected area with warm water and some liquid detergent. Then finally rinse thoroughly with cold water and dry. For certain stubborn and persistent stains, first rub the affected area with a liquid stain remover or methylated spirit, and then sponge it further with ammonia and cold water. Finally rinse and dry.
