A Place for Everything

When was the last time you kept your pile of newspapers in its place, or should I ask you where you keep your stack of newspapers? I know the answer would be unanimous “there’s no specific place for it”. Well if not then let’s create one now, rather than wait for ‘a day’ that will never come. Organize your living room in such a way that there’s enough storage space left for all your things you only use it once in a blue moon.

First look around your room for areas that would be suitable for storage. You’ll probably find nothing above your cabinets but did you notice that there’s lot of space up there. Install shelves below the ceiling to display your collectibles, hats or even your photographs.

You can mount a shelf above the windows to keep things you seldom use and cover it beautifully.

Invest in custom made wall shelves to seat your books and magazines, which otherwise occupy a lot of space in your living room. Fixing a structured wall unit for your entertainment gadgets like a music system, DVD player, or Xbox 360, will not only save space but also add style to your home.

Any of these options would give you enough storage space without protruding too much in your living room. So if you have more things than you have space, then following these tips might offer some relief.
