Save your HAIR from getting RARE when it rains!

Everyone loves the smell of the first rains. But as the first drop of rain falls on the ground, your hair can also start failing. Episodes of rain are very sticky and full of humidity, leaving your hair greasy, sticky, and dull looking. Here are a few Dos and Don’ts to make your hair look great and prevent it from losing any volume.

Dos

Oil Massage – always do a good hot oil massage once a week to return the sheen in your hair. Preferably use Mustard Oil or Olive Oil for the massage.

Use a mild anti dandruff shampoo – rainy seasons are the times when you are most likely to have dandruff or flaking as the weather is sticky and your scalp is not able to breathe. Hence it is suggested that you use an anti dandruff shampoo (but a mild one as hair are already delicate) to keep dandruff at bay.

Wash Hair Regularly- You must wash your hair regularly to get rid of all the stickiness and allow your scalp to breathe. A hair wash after getting wet in the rain is a must as stickiness can lead to dandruff.

Don’ts

Avoid chemicals – avoid using chemicals or hair sprays during rainy times of the year, as your hair is already going through a rough patch and would not be able to take the side effects of the chemicals.

Avoid getting wet in the rain- avoid getting wet in the rain as much as you can. The rain water brings plenty of dust particles and pollutants with it. Gone are the days when it was the purest source of water! So save your hair.

Dryers and irons are a typically a big NO, however, if you use the right brands, and follow the above instructions, any damage should be minimal. With an Ionic Hair Dryer, for example, any harm to the hair is negligible.
