Saving the environment is currently ‘in’. Whether it’s because of out of control petrol prices that are making us drive less, or the looming threat of global warming and planet-wide disaster, being environmentally conscious is on many people’s minds. The least energy efficient, and biggest power drainers typically tend to be household appliances; such as, dishwashers, washing machines, or refrigerators. Thankfully, the company Fisher & Paykel has developed a washing machine, called the Intuitive Eco, that will make you feel more energy conscious while doing the wash, meaning you wont have to wash everything in the kitchen sink by hand.
Intuitive Eco employs advanced technology so that it consumes the least amount of power and water possible, while still thoroughly cleaning your laundry. Even top models, such as Bosch WAE24363GB, do not take this much care in conserving energy and water. The device’s patented sensors on the inside actually adjust the amount of force and water being used, depending on the situation. Moreover, the Eco is especially keen on recycling and manages to re-use the water and detergent using an integrated pump system. As a result the Eco only uses one third the amount of hot water a standard washing machine uses. The environmentally friendly features don’t end here, as you can even re-use water from one washing sessions in another later on. This might seem a little extreme to some people, but it admittedly feels good to know you are doing your part to help the environment.
