The RHS Chelsea Flower Show will be decorated with more than just its usual floral beauty this year. In the show’s most expensive exhibit to date, flowers and jewels come together to demonstrate the links between the two – and it’s no surprise that the two look lovely together. The ‘Ace of Diamonds’ garden will not just feature jewels, but will also be influenced in its shape by necklaces and pendants, and is designed to celebrate the links between jewels and the flower world.
The most expensive design ever
The jewel garden is set to be the most expensive design that the show has ever seen, and features a number of valuable pieces of jewellery and rare gems. The jewels will be on loan from Bond Street store Leviev, and will require security like the show has never seen before. The garden will be more valuable than all of the flower show’s displays from this year and last year combined, and at a total value of around £20 million, the display is set to be something very special for visitors to the show.

The Chelsea Flower Show opens this year on 25 of May and closes on 29 May. Those who enjoy gardening of the more ordinary kind – without jewels, that is – need not fear, as the show will have plenty of gorgeous plant life on offer for them, as usual. This year’s show will feature the talents of some young designers, vegetable gardening along with the flowers, and what are promised to be the best peonies in years. It sounds like there’s something for everyone at the event, but the Ace of Diamonds should add a special sparkle.
