Landscaping adds value to your house and makes it attractive. This effect is not achieved in a day. To get that perfect landscape you need a vision. The first step is to decide what you want. You can’t start building that perfect garden or landscape at random without having a perfect picture in your mind. A good place to start literally would be to chalk out which area to start from. The best choice would be to start with the area that is most visible from the driveway. This foresight and planning would prevent your garden from having a patchy effect. The choice is yours but do keep the bigger picture in mind as you do it in phases. Don’t get carried away.
Make sure the soil is healthy. It must have the right combination of nutrients and minerals. If necessary do add the compost or other materials or organic mixtures to make it rich enough to have it ready for the planting. Be practical and pick plants, which will thrive in the climate. Study what kind, of climate, how much sun and rainfall is needed for the plant to grow. Even the amount of sun needed, direct or partial light. This is crucial for the plants to bloom.
Be careful not to plant the flowers too closely together in your garden. They need space and the effect is mitigated if they are too crowded. Too many varieties and colours also take away the more striking effect that simple colours have.
