Beer can be used to trap slugs? It’s true! Simply pour beer into empty plastic cups or jars, pop them in the soil, and watch the beer-loving slugs make a beeline for your jug. Once inside, these pests have no way of getting out and ruining your garden.
Recycled bath water
Gardeners tend to be concerned with environment, and take caring for the earth and recycling very seriously. Despite this, few gardeners recycle an increasingly limited resource they use a lot of daily: water, or more specifically, bath water. Instead of pulling the plug, grab a bucket and pour the water all over your plants. It’s perfectly good for your plants and results in a daily reuse of tens of litres of water. In addition, the soap in the water helps to protect against insects.

All of these outcomes are desirable for gardeners, who know how time consuming and expensive gardening can become. These are just three gardening tricks out of many out there being discovered every day to make your time in the garden a more pleasant experience.
