Christmas is a time where you can reconnect with loved ones and old friends but it is also a time of stress which can take its toll on the body and mind. This winter treat yourself to some great beauty treatments to keep you feeling, and looking, fantastic. Restore your skin and relax your mind with spa treatments this Christmas. Make the most of your holiday by adding these beauty treatments to your Christmas wish-list.

Facials

The cold winter air and lack of humidity can dry out the skin so it’s good to go for hydrating facials which will restore moisture. You can buy your own facial masks for home use but a facial done at a beauty spa often includes a soft facial-massage which will improve circulation within the skin – keeping it looking fresh and young. An exfoliating facial will also help to restore dry and flaky skin as will a chemical peel for skin in a very bad condition.

For the body

To restore moisture to not just you face, but your whole body, try a moisturizing body wrap. A wrap that contains a body butter will soothe the skin on your entire body, leaving your skin feeling smooth and your body looking toned and rejuvenated.

A massage

If the stress of Christmas gets to you then consider going for a whole body massage this winter. After a long year a deep tissue or hot stone massage may be just the thing you need to relax your body and mind. Take a day off and enjoy the experience – try to just let your mind drift off and don’t be in a hurry to get anywhere after the massage.

Just for fun

If you just want to look great for relatives and friends go down to your local salon or beauty parlor for a haircut and colour or a manicure. These treatments will provide an instant pick-me-up and a well deserved break from all that Christmas shopping. Avoid going too red on your hair or nails as you don’t want to match your Christmas decorations this winter!
