If you are in the mood for a change and feel like you need a new look then changing your hair colour can be the easiest way to do it. Change to blonde, brunette or even go red but make sure you choose a colour that compliments your skin. You may also want to consider the amount of money you are willing to spend on your hair and ensure that you choose a colour that is low maintenance.
Rich brunette
Mousy brown and dark blondes look best in a dark, rich brunette. Unless your hair is very light a brunette colour is easy to maintain as most roots do not show easily. Brunette is easy for DIY hair colouring as the colour is not likely to come out orange as it might with red or blonde colours. A dark hair colour also helps to reflect light leaving it looking shiny and healthy. Choose a colour that is rich and dark for a striking, stand-out look. If you want to go black then consulate a professional as there is no going back.
Fiery redhead
Women who have pinker skin look best as redheads. Remember red is eye-catching and it is not for you if you like to blend into a crowd. Red is a colour that should only be used on hair that is in good condition as damaged hair will not hold this colour. Reds with a purple tone don’t look very natural so try to choose a colour that is more coppery such as Garnier Nutrisse Rich Auburn.
Blonde
Blonde looks best on people with light hair and on people with hair that was blonde in childhood. Blonde hair colour requires the most maintenance and should always be washed with quality hair products. Cooler shades are the easiest to achieve especially when colouring at home but ensure you don’t go too white. For the best results consult a hairdresser when going blonde.
