If you’re bored with your straight hairstyle and want to try something new, there are plenty of options available to give it new bounce and volume. From curls to waves to crimped hair, you can give all kinds of new styles a try with very little effort. The obvious way to get the look is a curling iron, but there are plenty of other options, too. Find out more about the ways to keep your hair style interesting.
Curling with a straightener
If you have a hair straightener, you can use it to get a long-lasting curl that’s as intense as you make it. Use your straightener to curl your hair and keep experimenting with different sizes of curls until you get just the look you want.
Crimping
For a bold look that’s straight off of the runways and about to enjoy a return to popularity, try crimped hair. It’s not quite curls, but it’s an interesting and distinctive way to give your hair a new look and lots of texture. You’ll have to invest in hair crimpers for this one, but you’ll be amazed at how easy they make a task that looks complicated.
The old-fashioned way

For a soft curl the old-fashioned way, try rollers. This is a cheap way to get a curly look if you just want to try it out before investing in a straightener or curling iron. Divide your hair into sections, and place a roller at the tip of your hair and roll down towards the root. Secure the roller with the pins that come with the rollers, then repeat this until all of your hair is rolled up. Blow-dry the hair dry, then remove the rollers and spray.
Curling your hair is easier than it looks, so experiment and keep trying until your hair looks just how you’d like it to.

I like the roller idea! Too much heat (curling irons, straighteners) can cause heat damage!
