Sky-high heels and platform shoes have taken over the world this spring and as we head into summer they are not to be forgotten. Luminescent colours brighten up even the greyest of winter days and a bright shoe is the perfect accessory for work or a night out on the town. It may take you a few days to learn to walk in your new super-high heels but you are sure to be noticed in trendy lumo shades.

What heels can do for you

Rather than reaching for those comfy flats when going out consider what a pair of great heels can do for you. Heels make your calves look fantastic and legs draped in skinny jeans really pop when paired with a lumo heel. A sexy pair of shoes also adds drama and sex appeal to otherwise plain outfits. This winter a great pair of shoes can really lift you out of the dumps. The loud nature of a lumo heel really screams for attention in the right way.

The colours

Lumo high heels in Barbie shades really are all the rage. Coral, lemon yellow, lime and bright pink are hot colours for winter and are best paired with neutral outfits in greys, blacks, blues and whites. If you’re weary about wearing lumo, bold colours like red and cobalt blue look great with most skin tones. If you’re going for boots rather stay away from colours that are too bright and try a duller shade like purple.

Not sure how to wear lumo heels? Get some inspiration from some of your favourite celebs. Christina Aguilera is a big fan of her cobalt blue high heels which she loves to pair with casual jeans and grunge looks. Kelly Osborne is also a big fan of statement shoes and she contrasts them against florals and prints – a look not for the fashion shy. For an elegant look pair your bright heels with simple, well-cut dresses or a pants suit like Victoria Beckham.
