The Watering Can
In the UK we spend about £835 million a year on BBQs and garden furniture to make our gardens a little bit more of a sanctuary after a hard days work in the spring and summer months. The peak time for garden furniture in the UK is around April every year, with demand for garden furniture accessories such as cushions and covers following not too far behind.
Garden furniture spare parts are quite often hard to find as most garden sets are imported and there aren’t many solid UK brands. This does mean that its often possible to find cheap quality garden furniture, but it also leads to having to replace your garden furniture every year or 2 to maintain a good looking set. Some of the most sought after types are wooden garden furniture which is normally treated so that it can withstand the English weather, and metal garden furniture which often doesn’t last quite as long.
To alleviate this need to replace your garden furniture every few years, a new type known as rattan garden furniture has come onto the market and taken over by storm. Rattan is made from a plastic polymer and so it doesn’t rust like metal or warp like wood so no treatment is necessary. Although you might still need to replace the cushions and covers every now and then or remember to take them inside.
