Paint the Terracotta…any Colour!

The versatile terracotta pots can be used for literally anything. You can go as wild as your imagination allows. Hold your ethnic candles in it or plant a friendly indoor plant. If you wish you could even turn it into a side table!

Terracotta pots come in a wild array of shapes, sizes and colours. If you are the creative kind, then just go in for the plain ones and paint them according to your taste. All you need is the basic material and a discerning eye for style.

Material
1.Terracotta pots new or old
2.Primer
3.Spray paints, colours of your choice
4.Clear sealer (matte or gloss)

Method

1.Ensure the pots are scrupulously clean or dry before you start work. You can even wash the pots to make them squeaky clean, but make sure they are dry before you start working on it.

2.Next Use the primer on the pot. Make sure you prime the inside of the pot as well as the outside. If necessary prime it twice. After completing this step, make sure it is completely dry.
Even before starting the second coat you have to ensure that the first coat is dry.

3. Now take the colour of your choice and prepare the base, just make sure it is evenly spread. Don’t forget the inside of the pot. It is essential to give the same treatment to the inside for this will seal the moisture inside and in this way you can avoid ugly peels and blots on the paint.

4. If you are the more creative kind you can use your imagination and paint whatever you wish to. Just ensure that one coat of paint dries before you put another one.
The last step is to spray the sealer on the surface to ensure a smooth finish for a longer time.

You no longer have to be stuck with the same colour or design found in your standard decoration accessory, like with the plain silver Blomus BOLA (65069) garden accessory. Instead, give your creativity a vent and start creating your own masterpieces that will last.
