Changing the simplest of things can give a room a new look. Cover couches in new slip covers or get some bright coloured scatter cushions for a lounge update. Hang up-to-date family photographs in otherwise bare hallways or paint a single wall in a room a lively red or chocolate brown.

By simply moving a couple of paintings, lamps or items of furniture you can give an old room a whole new appeal.
